Cognizant has expanded its strategic partnership with Anthropic, becoming a Global Premier Partner in the Claude Partner Network. It will embed Anthropic's Claude model across its engineering and business platforms, expand its Claude-certified workforce and deploy the technology in manufacturing, life sciences, insurance, financial services and telecommunications. The announcement comes as large companies move from early artificial intelligence trials to broader deployment while facing closer scrutiny over governance, risk and oversight. Ravi Kumar S, Chief Executive Officer of Cognizant, said the main issue for many companies is not access to AI itself but the difficulty of applying it safely and effectively within complex organisations. Client deployments include an AI-led customer experience portal for a global manufacturer built within six months, an agentic contract-intelligence system for a biopharmaceutical client that reduced contract review time by up to 40 per cent and raised extraction accuracy above 88 per cent, and a risk-navigation tool that reduced manual research for underwriters from hours to about a minute, saving each underwriter roughly eight hours a week. Additional work is under way in financial services and telecommunications.
