Oracle’s August 2026 AI updates focus on flexibility for building, deploying, and managing enterprise AI on OCI. Key features include OCI Enterprise AI Hosted Application Endpoints now supporting OCI IAM authentication, simplifying access management and strengthening security. H100 multi-node serving is now available for imported models, enabling deployment across multiple H100 GPU nodes for larger, more demanding models. The portfolio of models available through on-demand inference has expanded, offering more choices without dedicated infrastructure. Additional hardware unit shapes are now available for Cohere and Meta models, providing greater visibility and flexibility in infrastructure selection. The OCI Responses API now supports Background Mode, allowing long-running AI tasks to execute asynchronously without an active connection. Natural-language access to Oracle Database data is now available directly in the Oracle Database Console. The updates also include new educational resources on AI cost optimization and model routing, along with registration for Oracle AI World 2026.
