AI-driven content is proliferating on LinkedIn, raising concerns about engagement, quality, and authenticity for brands. LinkedIn accounted for nearly two-thirds (62%) of all AI content flagged on social media platforms despite representing only one-third of the total content analyzed, per a Pangram analysis of over 1 million posts. 13.8% of posts across LinkedIn, Medium, Reddit, Substack, and X were fully AI-generated, as were one-quarter (25.7%) of posts over 250 words. Amid this, nearly 70% of LinkedIn users interact with brands’ content at least once a week, per Sprout Social, including 51% who are most likely to interact with text posts. LinkedIn is the No. 2 most-cited domain by ChatGPT Search, Perplexity, and Google AI Mode, per Semrush, behind only Reddit. As feeds become saturated with AI-generated posts, brands risk producing homogeneous content. Marketers should treat LinkedIn as part of an AI search strategy, focusing on authentic expertise and unique content such as proprietary data, customer case studies, executive perspectives, and original industry analysis, while avoiding reliance on AI to fully generate posts.
