Amazon Web Services launched several new AI-focused tools and products in 2026, including AWS Continuum for code vulnerabilities and a new Security Agent that proactively secures applications throughout the development lifecycle. The $150 billion Seattle-based cloud leader also introduced new capabilities for Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, such as AgentCore Web Search, which lets agents get information from the web without infrastructure overhead, and integration with AWS Bedrock Guardrails to evaluate agent actions for prompt injection, harmful content, and sensitive data exposure. Another feature, Harness, simplifies AI agent development to two API calls. AWS generated $37.6 billion in revenue for the first quarter of 2026, up 28 percent year over year, as AI-related sales rapidly expand.
