In an update at 6:26 UTC, Anthropic said: "All models except Opus 5 have recovered. We're working to recover Opus 5 as well." The disruption affected the Claude chatbot and third-party tools relying on Anthropic's API, with users encountering the message: "API Error: 529 Overloaded. This is a server-side issue, usually temporary — try again in a moment." Anthropic said it identified the issue and is working to restore services after elevated errors and latency disrupted Claude and API-dependent applications. The company warned that some users may continue to experience errors until the issue is fully resolved.
