Nokia and Google Cloud have expanded their partnership to integrate specialized AI agents, built with Google's Gemini multimodal models, into Nokia's Assurance Center network software suite, creating a multi-agent ecosystem to help telecommunication providers accelerate network automation, reduce operational costs, and resolve service issues. Six specialized agents are being rolled out, including a router agent, an event triage agent, a KPI selector agent, an anomaly reasoner agent, an action reasoner agent, and a dashboard agent, all developed using Google Cloud's Agent Development Kit. The framework introduces what Nokia calls "glass box autonomy," where the action reasoner agent presents confidence-based recommendations to human engineers who retain final approval over critical control points.
