AI data center company Firmus raised $2 billion in a funding round backed by Coatue Management, Nvidia Corp., Blackstone Inc. vehicles and Jane Street, the company said. The investment will drive the next phase of its Project Southgate AI Factory rollout in Australia, and help enable expansion into other Asia-Pacific markets, Sydney-based Firmus said in a Friday statement. Coatue and Nvidia have backed previous fundraising rounds, while Blackstone Tactical Opportunities, along with other Blackstone vehicles and Jane Street were new investors, the company said.
