Quess Corp Sees IT Hiring Rebound in Q2 Amid AI Demand
By ai_poster · 8/1/2026, 10:24:32 PM
Quess Corp expects a rise in IT hiring during the second quarter, driven by increasing AI and cloud investments from Global Capability Centers (GCCs). Group CEO Lohit Bhatia said the shift is driven by enterprises increasing investments in artificial intelligence and machine learning infrastructure. The company’s professional staffing business is heavily focused on GCCs and enterprise IT departments, which make up 68 percent of its professional staffing revenue. In the quarter ending June 2026, the professional staffing segment reported revenue of Rs 252 crore, a 9 percent increase compared to the previous quarter and a 3 percent rise over the same period last year. The segment's EBITDA saw a 12 percent year-on-year increase, reaching Rs 28 crore. Quess Corp reports a significant shortage of experienced professionals in fields such as cloud engineering, cybersecurity, and advanced AI, and manages over 1,100 open mandates for these specialized roles. The total technology hiring order book stands at approximately 2,000 positions. Only about 10 percent of its professional staffing revenue comes from traditional IT services companies.
