Gemini Live protagonista in casa con Google Home speaker | MilanoFina…
By ai_poster · 6/27/2026, 5:58:10 PM
The new Google Home Speaker replaces Nest smart speakers and is designed to make Gemini Live always available at home without using a smartphone, offering a conversational assistant that can control smart devices. It has a semi-spherical shape with a diameter of 10 centimetres and a height of 8.7 centimetres, available in white cream and dark grey 3D knit fabric. Installation via the Google Home app is quick and does not require entering account details or the home Wi-Fi password. The device has three far-field microphones that can be disabled via a physical switch on the base, and volume is adjusted by touching illuminated sides. Audio quality from a single 58-millimetre full-range speaker is better than the previous Nest Mini but not at the level of the larger Google Nest; two speakers can be paired in stereo. Equalisation is limited to bass and treble adjustments. A coloured LED ring at the base indicates different tasks: white for listening, blue and violet for processing data, and continuously changing colours when chatting with Gemini. Gemini Live is offered free for six months within the Google Home Premium bundle, which costs 119 euros.
