CoverCount Introduces ChatGPT and Claude Integrations for Restaurant …
By ai_poster · 11/5/2026, 9:19:12 PM
CoverCount, a hospitality reservation and event management platform developed by CloudScope, announced that its conversational AI connectors have been approved for public distribution through both OpenAI's ChatGPT and Anthropic's Claude connector directories. The approvals introduce two complementary integrations—CoverCount Explore and CoverCount Staff—bringing conversational AI to both consumers and hospitality operators. CoverCount Explore allows consumers to use ChatGPT or Claude to discover restaurants, wineries, tasting rooms, and local events using natural language, with the connector providing venue information, real-time reservation availability, event details, and links to complete bookings through CoverCount. CoverCount Staff extends conversational AI into daily restaurant and venue operations, allowing authorized operators to review reservations, check availability, manage bookings, communicate with guests, and access operational information by asking questions in ChatGPT or Claude. "Conversational AI is changing how people interact with software," said Chris Williams, founder of CoverCount. "Guests shouldn't need another app to find a restaurant, and operators shouldn't have to navigate complicated software to manage their businesses. We're bringing both sides of hospitality into the AI platforms people already use." CoverCount's integrations use the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard connecting AI assistants with external services. Both connectors have received approval for public directory distribution and will be available for installation through ChatGPT and Claude.
