Apple is reportedly testing a new artificial intelligence feature called Live Notes at select Apple Stores, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The system uses AI to generate a transcript of conversations during Genius Bar appointments, helping employees keep an accurate record of repair discussions without needing to manually take notes. The feature is currently opt-in, meaning it is only enabled when both the customer and the Genius Bar employee agree to use it. Once an appointment has finished, the transcript is added to the employee’s iPad as part of the repair record. The goal is to reduce the amount of time employees spend writing notes, allowing them to focus more on helping customers. Apple has not officially announced the Live Notes feature, and it remains unclear whether the trial will expand to additional Apple Stores or become a standard part of Genius Bar appointments in the future.
