He directly rebutted Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang's remarks, saying, "I do not agree with the claims that open-weight models make it easier to develop safeguards, or that broad AI accessibility benefits defenders more than attackers." Anthropic was the sole absentee from a joint statement titled "Open Weights and American AI Leadership," released on the 24th by Microsoft, Nvidia, Meta, and Palantir, which later exceeded 50 participating companies.
