Mouse Computer has introduced the X2, a compact Windows 11 laptop with a 981g chassis and a 12.2-inch display, launching in Japan in October. It measures 277.1mm wide, 210.2mm deep, and 19mm thick, and offers three AMD processor configurations: the entry-level Ryzen 5 216 with six cores, the Ryzen AI 5 340 with six cores, and the top-tier Ryzen AI 7 350 with eight cores. The display has a 1920 by 1200 resolution, is reported to cover the full sRGB colour gamut, and sits on a 180-degree hinge. Storage comes from a 500GB NVMe SSD, and the laptop includes a 60Wh battery with claimed battery life of approximately 12.5 hours during video playback and around 25 hours when idle, based on the JEITA 3.0 testing standard. Connectivity includes Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5, USB Type-A ports, an HDMI output, and a microSD card slot, plus a 2-megapixel webcam. The X2 remains exclusive to Japan at launch.
