President Donald Trump's investment accounts, managed by third-party advisors, added positions in Alphabet and Meta Platforms, according to financial disclosures filed with the U.S. Office of Government Ethics. The accounts made over 6,200 stock trades year to date through May, with net purchases of Alphabet totaling $1.7 million to $3.6 million and Meta seeing net buys of $845,000 to $4.8 million. Trump is not responsible for any individual trade decision. Alphabet reported second-quarter results that beat estimates, with revenue increasing 24% to $119.7 billion, driven by 82% sales growth in cloud computing. Operating income rose 30% to $40.7 billion. Shares have added 4% since the earnings report, but the stock trades at 18 times earnings versus a five-year average of 24 times.
