Microsoft announced the worldwide general availability of Copilot Cowork on June 17 2026, following three months of preview. Microsoft EVP Charles Lamanna called it the “fastest growing feature in the history of our Frontier program” and stated that new features have been added for GA including model choice, extensibility through plugins, and new cost management controls. Accessed through Microsoft 365 Copilot, Cowork can expose plugins for specific tasks. Plugins for Fabric and Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service, and ERP apps are now GA. Nine new partner plugins are available now from firms including Monday.com, Morningstar, and S&P Global Energy, with others coming soon from vendors including Adobe, Atlassian, Box, and Databricks. Microsoft CVP for Dynamics 365 Customer Experience Deva Rajamohan stated that the Dynamics 365 Sales and Customer Service plugins now GA provide a “quality-validated set of prompts that run on out-of-the-box Dynamics 365 data”. Those plugins work on account and deal preparation, expansion signals, and deal-progression guidance.
