According to a Bloomberg report by Mark Gurman, Apple plans to unveil its smart glasses at next year's Worldwide Developers Conference, with availability expected sometime before the end of 2027. The glasses will reportedly not include any displays, a feature common to most existing smart glasses. Gurman said Apple is considering removing cameras entirely or removing the ability to take photos and videos, with cameras serving solely to provide context for an AI assistant. The report follows the failure of Apple Vision Pro and comes amid a broader smart glasses market that includes Meta and Samsung.
