South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT said it will hold a launch ceremony on Aug. 11 in Seoul for an industry-academia-research council on self-driving laboratories. The ministry described self-driving labs as platforms that link equipment, robots and AI to automate repeated experiments around the clock. The government sees them as a core foundation for K-Moonshot and plans to build a closed-loop system spanning hypothesis, experiment, analysis and revised hypotheses.
