At HUAWEI CONNECT 2026 in Shanghai, Zhu Zhaosheng, Huawei’s Chief Strategy Officer for Computing, said Ascend has passed a key ecosystem inflection and laid out a five-dimension agentic computing path for SuperPoDs and SuperClusters. The speech focused on developer primitives including ThinkPro process APIs, an open PTO instruction set, Ascend 950 SIMD plus SIMT programming, and shared community access to 10k-NPU-scale compute for partners and independent developers. Zhu said agentic workloads stretch time to first token, interconnect bandwidth, and memory footprints.
