G6 Hospitality launched a Motel 6 plugin in ChatGPT, allowing travelers in the U.S. and Canada to discover properties through natural-language conversations. Users can enable the plugin from the Plugin section in ChatGPT by starting a prompt with "@Motel 6", then search for properties, compare options, view pricing, amenities, photos and availability, and complete a reservation. Ankit Tandon, G6 vice chairman, said AI has become part of everyday life and that making the Motel 6 plugin available in ChatGPT is a natural extension of its digital strategy. Shashank Jain, G6's global head of technology and online revenue, said large language models are changing how people interact with technology and that the plugin is powered by technologies designed to better understand user intent. The launch expands access to Motel 6 through AI-based travel planning and reflects growing use of conversational AI for travel planning. Separately, Prism, the parent of OYO and G6, began investor roadshows for its proposed $701 million initial public offering.
