Google DeepMind launched its new-generation video generation and editing model Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash on November 6, bringing three core upgrades: native 15-second video generation, multi-turn conversational editing, and stronger reference image adherence capability. The price of Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash is 30% lower than that of the previous generation Omni 1.1 Flash, with 720p video generation reduced to $0.07 per second (equivalent to about RMB 0.46), which is less than 1/3 of the price of Seedance 2.5 for generating videos of the same quality. In the large model arena, Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash won first place on both the text-to-video and image-to-video leaderboards and ranked third on the video editing leaderboard, outperforming models including FLUX3 Video, Grok Imagine Video 1.5, Seedance 2.0, and Seedance 2.5. Gemini Omni is a new product line opened by Google outside the Veo video generation model, positioned as a unified model for "creating and editing videos from any modality." Omni Flash entered public preview on the Gemini API at the end of June this year, and Omni 1.1 Flash took over at the end of August, replacing the Veo 3.1 preview in the Gemini API. The model natively supports video generation and editing for up to 15 seconds
