Google has implemented broad price reductions for its Gemini AI services in response to market disruption from emerging Chinese language models. The Gemini Spark AI agent, which automates tasks within Google Workspace, saw its price drop from exclusive availability in the "AI Ultra" plan at 99.99 US-Dollar per month to the "AI Pro" plan at 19.99 US-Dollar per month in the United States. Google stated that Gemini Spark is not yet available in the European Economic Area (EWR), the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or Nigeria. Google also released new models including Gemini 3.6 Flash, 3.5 Flash-Lite, and 3.5 Flash Cyber. According to technical data, Gemini 3.6 Flash consumes 17 percent fewer output tokens than its predecessors, with an output price of 7.50 US-Dollar per million tokens. Google claims the cheaper Gemini models will save companies over 1 billion US-Dollar annually. The price cuts respond to competition from Chinese firms, including Moonshot AI's Kimi K3 and Alibaba's Qwen3.8 Max, offered at low or no cost, and DeepSeek's commitment to open-source models. Meanwhile, the launch of the flagship Gemini 3.5 Pro has been delayed again, though Google has begun pre-training for Gemini 4.
