OpenAI and Anthropic have reportedly filed confidential paperwork for initial public offerings, with private valuations reaching approximately $965 billion and $852 billion respectively. Nadella’s comments come as AI valuations continue to soar, driven by factors including rapid enterprise AI adoption, growing cloud infrastructure demand, and strong revenue growth opportunities. According to Nadella, human capital—including institutional knowledge, professional judgment, business relationships, industry expertise, pattern recognition skills, and organizational memory—becomes more valuable as AI capabilities expand.
