In the iOS 27 developer beta, Apple's AI-powered Clean Up tool for removing unwanted photo elements has become "much faster and more accurate," handling complex details like lighting and shadows better than before. Compared to iOS 26, which left "blurry spots or inconsistent colors," iOS 27 improves generative AI-based fill algorithms for natural results. A new option lets users choose between two editing modes: "Fast" for quick social media edits and "High Quality" for ultra-precise processing. However, there is "a major hurdle regarding performance and system compatibility" that may cause hesitation during this beta phase.
