This move comes amid competition with devices like the Oura Ring and the Whoop band. A rumored new watch face based on the “Modular Ultra” design, currently exclusive to the Apple Watch Ultra, will serve as a simplified version for standard Apple Watches such as the Apple Watch 11. Additionally, watchOS 27 is expected to receive more Apple Intelligence capabilities, building on features in watchOS 26 like Workout Buddy, real-time translation in messages, and notification summaries, with potential improvements to Siri and personalized athletic and health analyses. The Apple Watch Ultra 3 features built-in support for satellite connectivity for emergency messages.
