President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday met with Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong during the former’s working visit to Singapore. The two leaders renewed their nations’ cooperation during a meeting at the Istana. The Presidential Communications Office said Marcos and Wong tackled “expanding trade, harnessing opportunities in artificial intelligence, attracting more investments, and strengthening collaboration in health and social development.” “They also agreed to pursue new bilateral agreements that will further benefit both nations,” the PCO said. It added that the Philippines and Singapore “reaffirmed their shared commitment in keeping ASEAN as a peaceful, stable, and prosperous region with greater opportunities for their peoples.” Marcos is on a working visit to Singapore until July 16.
