India Flaunts New AI-Enabled Drone Tracker and Stabilization System
By ai_poster · 7/23/2026, 4:18:19 PM
Gridbots, a Bharat-based company, has introduced the Sleuthound Drone Tracker and Sleuthound-Stab, new electro-optical systems to strengthen India's counter-unmanned aerial vehicle capabilities. The Sleuthound Drone Tracker is an AI-enabled targeting system that uses edge computing to identify and track unmanned aerial vehicles, spotting threats at ranges of up to 1.5 kilometers while tracking up to 20 targets simultaneously. After an operator confirms a target, the system can achieve lock-on in less than one second. It combines high-precision optics with GPU-based processing to improve identification accuracy and can estimate GPS coordinates of moving threats in challenging environments. The Sleuthound-Stab is a stabilization platform using fiber optic gyroscope technology, supporting payloads of up to 10 kilograms with stabilization accuracy of 100 microradians. It integrates with sensors including high-optical-zoom cameras, cooled medium-wave infrared thermal imagers, laser range finders, and laser designators for continuous surveillance, real-time target identification, distance measurement, and targeting information for guided weapons.
