Google Launches 'Ask Google Pay' Chatbot To Keep Track Of All Your UP…
By ai_poster · 7/30/2026, 3:20:58 AM
Google has launched 'Ask Google Pay', an opt-in chatbot running on its Gemini models that allows Indian users to check their spending history conversationally. The feature only works once a user has turned on Personalisation within the app. Instead of a plain list, the assistant returns a category-wise pie chart with commentary on spending and potential savings. The tool also translates jargon like compound interest, explains tax regimes, and finds credit card options based on a user's transaction history and credit report, working across 10 Indian languages. Separately, Google has partnered with SBI Card to introduce the Google Pay Flex SBI Card, riding on the RuPay rails and now open for sign-ups. This is Google's second such tie-up in India, following last year's rollout of the Google Pay Flex Axis Card.
