Following the announced closure of wsup.ai, WSUP AI has launched an independent browser-based alternative for character conversations, combining story context, voice replies, generated images, response regeneration, motion previews, and AI-assisted character creation. The launch follows a May 2026 announcement that wsup.ai would wind down its service, with character chats available through May 24, followed by read-only access from May 25 through June 18 and closure on June 19. WSUP AI is independently operated and is not affiliated with the former wsup.ai service or its owners; accounts, purchases, characters, and conversation histories from the former platform have not transferred. Visitors can choose a character and reply without creating an account for the first conversation. Each character is defined by a personality, backstory, opening scene, and conversational tone, with context-aware dialogue and conversation memory. Users can regenerate the latest character response without discarding the conversation. The experience combines text, audio, images, and motion within the same chat, with individual responses playable in a character-specific voice and the ability to generate images. Selected characters use short, silent motion portraits. WSUP AI also includes an AI-assisted workflow to create a character, with options for public or private visibility and discovery through themes including Anime, Companion, K-Wave, Modern, Roleplay.
