Wang Xingxing, chairman and CEO of Unitree Robotics, the world's largest humanoid robot maker by shipments, has become China's first humanoid robot billionaire ahead of the company's Shanghai listing. According to a filing on Aug. 6, Unitree priced its initial public offering at 150.8 yuan (US$22.34) per share, valuing the company at about 61 billion yuan (US$9.04 billion). The deal will make the Hangzhou-based firm China's first mainland-listed humanoid robot manufacturer, Reuters reported. Based on his ownership stake, the 36-year-old has amassed an estimated fortune of $2.4 billion, according to Forbes.
