Rebecca Cretella used Claude to interpret flashing dotted lines on her Miele fridge panel, receiving an answer within seconds. She also used the AI to communicate with a doctor through her insurance app when her son came home with a haematoma, to translate bloodwork results and research supplements, and to make sense of an audit letter from Spain’s tax authority, the Agencia Tributaria. Her ten-year-old, who had a fantasy novel mapped out but was paralyzed by the gap between his idea and a completed 30,000-word manuscript, received a Claude-generated road map broken into phases and milestones. The plan gives him a clear path: at 250 words a day, he can have a first draft finished in four months. Claude also produced a printable workbook covering character development, plot, setting, and scenes. The child agreed with most of the road map but disagreed with the suggested editing process, keeping his own method. Her seven-year-old uses Claude on the school bus to explore topics like diamonds, with each answer generating more questions.
