Samsung has received eight honors at the Red Dot Design Awards for its innovative AI lifestyle concepts. Among the recognitions, its Home Appliances Accessories and Kids Robot Dremo & Minimo concepts earned the prestigious Red Dot Award: Design Concept Best of the Best honors. The Home Appliances Accessories concept uses a simple color-coding system for disposal and management: gray represents semi-permanent parts, green points recyclable materials, and brown means general waste. The Kids Robot Dremo & Minimo concept includes Dremo, a home-based robot, and Minimo, a portable version that lets children stay connected, allowing users to create a personal AI character with a desired name, personality, and voice. Apart from the two Best of the Best awards, Samsung received recognition for six other AI-powered concepts: AI Beauty Mirror, Panorama UX, AI Kitchen, Spatial Tab, AI Home Companion PUCO, and Fluid AI Design System. “Guided by our Expressive Design approach, we will continue exploring how technology can better understand each individual, adapt naturally to their needs and inspire more personal and meaningful experiences for the future,” said Mauro Porcini, President and Chief Design Officer at Samsung.
