Klaviyo has agreed to acquire AI-powered customer success startup Agency, the companies announced, with financial terms not disclosed. Founded in 2023 by Elias Torres, Agency raised $32 million from investors including Sequoia, Menlo Ventures, and Felicis. Torres will join Klaviyo as chief product officer, and Agency’s 25-person team will help expand Klaviyo’s AI products, including its Composer marketing assistant and Customer Agent for post-purchase support. The acquisition reunites Torres with Klaviyo co-founder and CEO Andrew Bialecki, who worked under Torres at Performable. Bialecki told TechCrunch the goal is to combine Agency’s technology with Klaviyo’s existing AI capabilities and make AI agents available to its more than 200,000 customers. Both executives said Klaviyo’s customer data provides a competitive foundation for building AI agents. Other AI-powered martech releases this week include: Adwerx integrated its automated digital advertising platform with Canva to turn user design files into active ad campaigns across digital channels, social media, and streaming television. AI Bulk Listing Generator launched a web platform that generates product listings from uploaded spreadsheets for e-commerce platforms such as Shopify and Amazon. AI Visibility released a free tracking tool that measures how often AI assistants recommend specific brands in response to user queries. Bloomberg Vault introduced updated communications surveillance models for risk monitoring and regulatory compliance in financial institutions. Duda
