Montenegro has representatives at the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI 2026) for the first time. The Montenegrin team was greeted by State Secretary Tatjana Ćalasan upon their departure for Kazakhstan, where the city of Astana will be the center of the global AI scene starting tomorrow, the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation announced. The organization of participation and official accreditation on behalf of Montenegro is carried out by Montenegro Robotics, in professional cooperation with professors from the Faculty of Science (FSc) of the University of Montenegro. The national team consists of Balša Radulović and Vanja Lazarević from Podgorica's "Slobodan Škerović" Gymnasium, Mladen Ralević from Berane's "Panto Mališić" Gymnasium, and Mina Radović from Podgorica's "Štampar Makarije" Elementary School. Led by team leader Biljana Krivokapić, an IT teacher from the Primary School 'Štampar Makarije', the competitors will compete with their peers from all over the world.
