Google Pay launched "Ask Google Pay," a Gemini-powered AI feature for personalised spending insights and financial education. It supports text and voice in 10 Indian languages. The opt-in feature allows users to ask questions about spending patterns, savings, credit scores, and financial products. It can analyse users' transaction history to help understand expenses, and provide information on mutual funds, SIPs, compounding interest, and differences between tax regimes. The AI assistant can also help explore tailored offers, such as identifying suitable credit card options for travel expenses. Google said the tool is designed for educational purposes while keeping users' financial data under their control. Separately, Google also launched the Google Pay Flex SBI Card, a co-branded credit card developed with SBI Card.
