Supplyco has launched a series of innovative advertisements as part of its Onam campaign, leveraging nostalgia, artificial intelligence and iconic Malayalam cinema references, aiming to boost sales to ₹450 crore during the festive season. One AI-generated video recreates a scene from ‘Mathilukal’, where Mammootty's character asks, "Where will Narayani go if I get out of here?" and a voice replies, "I'll go straight to Supplyco. There are great discounts there now." An AI-generated poster inspired by ‘Drishyam’ features Mohanlal's character Georgekutty arriving at Supplyco with his family, with the tagline: "Supplyco first, then meditation, then..." Other videos include a woman resembling actor Bindu Panicker emerging from Supplyco with spice packets, and a man reminiscent of Harisree Ashokan's Ramanan from ‘Punjabi House’ calling out about a price reduction. The campaign also includes AI-generated videos set to popular Malayalam songs, such as a clip with heavy rain, a smiling householder sipping tea, and steaming ‘pazham pori’ being fried in coconut oil.
