Bengaluru-based deeptech robotics startup Mowito, also known as Mowita AI, has raised $3 million in a pre-seed funding round to expand its AI-powered robotic automation business. The round saw participation from Version One Ventures, All India Capital, iSeed, Vaibhav Domkundwar, Unisol, Adarsh Kulkarni of Foundry Robotics, and Ashish Kulkarni of Coformer.ai. Founded by Puru Rastogi, Adityanag Nagesh and Safar V, Mowito is building robotic systems for warehouses, dark stores and manufacturing facilities, with technology designed for repetitive manual handling including picking, packing, sorting, inspection and assembly. Its product centers on a vision-guided robotic arm that can handle objects of different shapes and sizes, including items it has not seen before, using proprietary physical AI software that works with existing factory and warehouse infrastructure. The fresh capital will be used to expand Mowito’s business in the US, strengthen its engineering and sales teams, and increase deployments across automotive and electronics manufacturers.
