The controversy comes as Korean broadcasters adopt AI; in April, Kweather and MBN held an audition for AI weathercasters. Since July 21, MBC has used AI-generated voices modeled on its announcers for radio news bulletins. TV Chosun introduced an AI reporter named Aion on its morning news program "News Parade" on June 8.
