Meta has launched a standalone iOS app called "Seller" for Facebook Marketplace, available for free on the Apple App Store for users aged 18 and older in the United States. The app syncs automatically with existing listings, messages, and selling history. Its centerpiece is AI-powered listing creation, where sellers upload photos and Meta AI automatically generates a title, description, suggested price, and category. The app also includes a bulk listing feature, a unified inbox, and detailed performance analytics. Marketplace currently has over 430 million monthly listings globally and 44 million vehicles listed monthly, with one in three young US Facebook users visiting Marketplace daily. The launch coincides with Marketplace's tenth anniversary in 2026 and comes as Meta faces competition from TikTok Shop, Whatnot, eBay, and Etsy. Tom Alison, head of Facebook, described the strategy as catering to "high-intensity user communities" with complementary apps.
