Notion has launched Claude-powered AI agents that can analyze data, write code, create documents, collaborate with teammates, and assign tasks within its workspace. Custom Agents, which launched in February 2026, crossed the 1 million user-created agents mark by May 2026. On April 8, 2026, Notion showcased support for Anthropic’s Claude Managed Agents in a private alpha demonstration. The Notion Developer Platform and External Agents API launched on May 13, 2026, allowing AI agents built outside of Notion to collaborate directly within Notion workspaces as tracked participants. This API started in private beta around mid-May 2026. Notion has introduced a credit-based pricing system for Custom Agents, with the cost at $10 per 1,000 credits after a free trial period.
