Shannon Eusey, chairman and co-founder of Beacon Pointe Advisors, has joined the advisory board of CogniCor, a Palo Alto-based AI intelligence and orchestration platform for RIA firms and wealth management enterprises. The appointment signals a new phase of strategic expansion for the venture-backed company, whose platform aims to unify fragmented data across a firm's technology stack into coordinated advisor actions. CogniCor said the advisory board is being reshaped around senior industry leaders to inform its growth strategy as demand for AI-native wealth management infrastructure intensifies. With more than 30 years in the industry, Eusey has helped grow Beacon Pointe to an RIA with AUM of more than $62 billion. The firm underwent a leadership transition earlier this year that elevated longtime president Matthew Cooper to chief executive officer, while Eusey took on chair of the board. Before launching Beacon Pointe, Eusey served as senior managing director and portfolio manager at Roxbury Capital Management and serves on boards including Banc of California, the Charles Schwab Advisor Council, and the TD Ameritrade Advisory Council. CogniCor's pitch is built around three converging pressures: an acute shortage of financial advisors relative to client demand, the anticipated retirement of up to 40% of experienced advisors over the next decade, and a growing pool of affluent households seeking personalized guidance. Its core product, Advisor Copilot, connects data across existing tools without requiring another standalone application.
