Claude wants to hear your hardest questions about AI

Anthropic's new ad for Claude, "Inviting Hard Questions," features a film of real people asking uneasy questions about AI, such as "Who decides the rules for this technology?" and "Can it help cure diseases?" The company is asking the public to send in their toughest questions and promises to publicly track its response. Anthropic frames this as an extension of its existing work: a survey of 52,000 Americans called the Anthropic Public Record, interviews with 81,000 Claude users across 159 countries, in-person focus groups, and ongoing research. The company, built as a Public Benefit Corporation, states it owes the public an account of itself. This ad contrasts with Anthropic's Super Bowl debut in February, "A Time and a Place," which targeted OpenAI with jokes about ads coming to AI. That campaign swept Cannes Lions in June 2026, picking up two Film Grand Prix, Gold and Silver Lions, and a Silver in Creative Strategy. Anthropic has not yet advertised Claude in India, a gap notable as both OpenAI and Google have run major campaigns there, including Google's Rs 270 crore, three-year sponsorship.
