The company is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Animation for its Singapore Efficiency team, which builds technology to support creative teams. The role focuses on designing and shipping ML tools to accelerate animation workflows, including motion processing and rig-related tasks, to reduce mechanical steps for animators. Responsibilities include building assistive animation tooling using motion synthesis, motion matching/blending, retargeting, and physics-based character control; partnering with animators and tech artists to shorten costly keyframing, cleanup, and retargeting work; defining and running evaluations for motion quality (naturalness, foot-sliding, responsiveness) and quantifying time returned to animators; and following developments in motion generation and character control. Required qualifications include a Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field with a focus on Machine Learning, Data Science, or Artificial Intelligence; deep expertise in motion and character-animation ML; at least 5 years of experience applying Machine Learning to real-world problems; and evidence of state-of-the-art work through peer-reviewed publications (e.g., SIGGRAPH, SIGGRAPH Asia, NeurIPS, ICLR, CVPR) or shipped projects. The role reports to the Sr Manager, Machine Learning Engineer.
