Users are angry after Google's Gemini assistant fails to handle another Android Auto feature, specifically Google Home routines. While Gemini can run all routines on Android, it either does not respond or returns an error message when Android Auto is running on the car’s screen. One user explained, "I've been trying to use the in-car Gemini to unlock my car charger with a routine, and it has failed every time... I get out of the car and say the same thing on my phone, and it works immediately." A fix does not seem to exist, and some users have moved back to Google Assistant to access this functionality. Not everybody is affected by this glitch, as one Reddit user says Gemini runs their routines fine from Android Auto. All struggling users claim they are already running the latest versions of everything, including Android Auto.
