Indonesia has partnered with Microsoft, Binus University and GreatNusa to expand AI-powered job fairs, digital skills training and career matching initiatives, launched through the AI Career Boost Day 2026 Job Fair in Jakarta. Manpower Minister Yassierli said the initiative includes developing an online AI-powered job fair with GreatNusa and Microsoft, alongside expanded AI learning programmes. He cited an 11% increase in recruitment for digital and AI professionals in Hyderabad, India, as an example of evolving labour market needs. The ministry is leveraging its network of 43 vocational training centres across Indonesia to offer practical, digital and emerging technology-based programmes, while expanding online learning opportunities. It is also enhancing its Siap Kerja employment platform by onboarding more companies to improve job matching. GreatNusa Chief Operating Officer Nita Felia said AI should be harnessed to improve productivity, employability and lifelong learning, adding that stronger collaboration between government, education providers, technology companies and industry will be critical to closing digital skills gaps and ensuring more Indonesians can access AI-related career opportunities.
