The Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Karnal, has established two labs to enhance student employability: the Maruti Suzuki Advanced Training Lab and the ACTTS Robotics Skill Centre. The Maruti Suzuki Advanced Training Lab was inaugurated on July 23 by Raj Kumar, Additional Director, Skill Development and Industrial Training Department, Haryana, and Sanjeev Kumar Sinha, Senior Vice-President, Maruti Suzuki India Limited. Developed with an investment of Rs 3 crore by Maruti Suzuki India Limited, the lab provides practical training to students in trades including motor mechanic vehicle, machinist, welder, fitter, turner, diesel mechanic, painter, and tractor mechanic. The ACTTS Robotics Skill Centre was established on August 4 with support from the Haryana Skill Development Mission. The inauguration was attended by Dr Rajesh Goyal, Mission Director, Haryana Skill Development Mission, Manoj Bhardwaj, Deputy Director, Skill Development and Industrial Training Department, and Sunil Bundela, Managing Director, ACTTS. The centre offers specialised training in artificial intelligence, robotics, automation, industrial robotics, and ‘Industry 4.0’ technologies. It has a training capacity of 120 trainees per batch, including 90 residential and 30 non-residential trainees. The first batch has commenced, with each training programme lasting around six months. No training fee is charged, and free hostel accommodation and meals are provided to residential trainees. Karnal MLA Jagmohan Anand visited the centre
