Unity AI Gateway is now Generally Available, addressing challenges in AI cost, control, and choice. The rapid rise of AI agents has introduced issues like unsustainable spend due to consumption-based pricing, security risks from data exfiltration and prompt injections, and vendor lock-in. Agent sprawl, with multiple tools and thousands of custom agents, worsens these problems. Unity AI Gateway provides enterprises with cost, control, and choice levers to manage AI spend and enforce security across AI agents and assets, including coding agents, MCPs, external agents, skills, and models. Thousands of customers, such as Rivian, Asana, and Edmunds, already use it, and over a quadrillion tokens have passed through the gateway in the past year. Databricks uses it internally to manage spend across thousands of employees. The gateway offers complete AI observability and cost control, serving as a central hub for any AI asset, with end-to-end observability and granular cost attribution across models, providers, teams, and applications. Data is centralized in Unity Catalog, providing out-of-the-box dashboards and Genie-powered analysis. Teams can establish proactive budgets and enforce hard spend caps, and one technique to control spend is routing across frontier models.
