Meta announced the recipients of the AI Glasses Impact Grants, providing funding to **30 organizations** across the U.S. that are using AI glasses to solve problems. The program, launched in **January**, put **nearly $2 million** behind organizations doing this work. It offers two grant types: Accelerator Grants for organizations scaling proven impact, and Catalyst Grants for developers building applications through Meta’s Device Access Toolkit. Recipients were selected based on demonstrated impact, scalability, and relevance to areas including accessibility, workforce safety, education, agriculture, and economic opportunity. Meta received **nearly 500 applications**, and Catalyst Grant recipients will integrate their apps on **Ray-Ban Meta glasses** later this year. The full cohort spans **18 states**. Examples include Strategic Workforce Development (Missouri), using Meta AI glasses as a hands-free coaching tool for construction trades; Proformance-AI (California), developing an AI copilot app for roadside emergency responders; Onsite (Michigan), building a Meta AI glasses integration for trades; Mycelia Foundation (New Mexico), equipping rural broadband installers with AI glasses for safety guidance at height; and Agerpoint (North Carolina), giving farmers and growers support.
