Xpeng has unveiled the L03, a new coupé SUV designed for the global market, available in fully electric and extended-range versions. The model targets premium European brands and Tesla, featuring proprietary technologies driven by physical AI. It is designed for distribution across sixty-four markets. The L03 is the second model in the Mona series, which stands for ‘Made of New AI’. Its software-defined architecture includes the AI Touring chip developed by Xpeng, which, depending on the version, may feature one or three modules, each with 750 TOPS, for a total of 2,250 TOPS. This computing power drives the NGP (Navigation Guided Pilot – VLA 2.0) system, which relies solely on cameras and ADAS, not high-definition maps or LiDAR, to perform manoeuvres in real time. The L03 also marks the launch of version 6.0 of the cockpit’s software architecture and a partnership with Google Maps Auto SDK to develop its own navigation system.
