Virtuals Protocol bets on physical AI and robotics with Eastworlds ac…

Virtuals Protocol launched Eastworlds, a robotics accelerator designed to connect onchain AI agent infrastructure with physical robotics hardware. Selected builder teams receive access to humanoid robot platforms, including the Unitree G1, along with policy training tools and teleoperation capabilities. The operational support window runs up to one month, with focus areas including manipulation and locomotion. To participate, teams must maintain a fully diluted valuation of at least $5 million for one week and pass an onboarding assessment tied to Virtuals’ “Robotics Launch” designation. The initiative was driven by demand from founders in the Virtuals ecosystem interested in humanoid robots and embodied AI applications. The protocol’s ecosystem includes tens of thousands of active AI agents, with the VIRTUAL token handling governance, transactions, and liquidity for new agent launches. The robotics and physical AI sector has attracted venture funding reportedly reaching between $23 billion and $40.7 billion. The $5 million FDV threshold aims to prevent a “launch a token first, build later” dynamic by requiring market traction before hardware access. For VIRTUAL holders, Eastworlds creates a new category of token demand, as robotics agent launches using the ecosystem rely on VIRTUAL for liquidity and governance.
