At 7:29pm UTC on 29 July, the company acknowledged the issue and began investigating. At 9:38pm UTC, it stated it was working to resolve elevated errors and latency across multiple models, noting recovery across most models. By 10:36pm UTC, Anthropic said the incident had been resolved. At the outage’s peak, Downdetector Australia noted 29 reports at roughly 6:19am AEST, while in the US, reports peaked at 5:50am AEST with 3,639 reports.
